Abstract

The Digital Transformation as a societal meta-development affects our organizations massively and forces them to act. The new conceptual framework for developing and improving an organization-facing these challenges of the digital transformation-with the (easy to memorize) metaphoric view of the subconscious mind and the conscious mind of organizations will organizations help to travel the bumpy road of digital transformation and disruption. Decision Making in this new “playing field” is in the focus of these considerations-concerning organization, tools, responsibilities, liabilities etc.. Society, politics and legislation are as well challenged by the digital transformation. Organizations may serve as role models for the societal developments when they succeed. The guiding principles in this book are intended to support this. The massive progress in AI and deep learning pushes organizations to a closer collaboration between man and machines–hopefully as man’s tools and not as his dominators. To form and shape sensible hybrid intelligences and weave them in the organizations and their subconscious minds is a key challenge. Finally we must be aware of the singular qualities and abilities of the human to stay in the “driver’s seat” on the road through this “stormy” digital transformation. Politics will have to speed up with regulations and legislation as well as adaption of macroeconomic structures, tax systems and shaping of the commons-the exponential technologies as AI, synthetic biology etc. “exploding” at the same time won’t wait for regulation in favor of our societies. Politics and legislation are challenged to restore a culture of trust in the internet and its tools–for the benefit of organizations, economy and citizens. Maybe this will require the banning of anonymity as driver for criminal action, manipulation and hatred. There are better ways to enable whistle blowing where necessary.
