Abstract

Vishnu Bajwa is brought for his school checkup to the pediatric clinic by his mother. Vishnu weighs 56.71 kg (125 lb), and stands 169 cm tall (66.5 in.), placing him in the 50th percentile for height and weight. His BMI is 19.1, which is also in the 50 percentile. His blood pressure is 113/64. His tanner stage is 3. He lives with his parents and siblings in a three-family house, with his aunt and uncle upstairs and grandmother in the basement. Vishnu has a group of friends in school but recently had a breakup with a girlfriend and feels he will not meet another girl that he will like. Mrs. Bajwa is proud of her son’s ambitions but is concerned about how to help him be resilient and self-confident and deal with stress. Vishnu is also worried about a recent outbreak of acne on his face.
