Abstract
In this chapter we provide a test vehicle of the form of a typical linear circuit problem and do a quick survey of available methods, ranging from steady state ones, analytic differential equations, numerical methods, frequency/transform methods, and convolution ones. We distinguish between the two classes of solutions: the ones requiring recomputation of all branch currents and node voltages and the ones which give a general solution in terms of the input stimulus. We also touch on the principle of superposition, linearization, and continuous/distributed media.
