Abstract
Multigap Resistive Plate Chambers (MRPCs) are gaseous detectors that are known to have good time resolution. We have taken an attempt to develop a six gap bakelite MRPC using bakelite plates procured from local market with each gas-gap thickness of 250 \(\upmu \)m. The developed MRPC was tested for its different parameters like efficiency, noise rate with cosmic rays. In this document, the method of fabrication and test results of the MRPC will be presented.
