Abstract
A sequence of real numbers is a function defined on a subset of positive integers with values in the real numbers. Instead of denoting the sequence by a (as we would for a function) we will use the notation (a n). Note that a p denotes the value of the sequence at p and (a n) denotes the whole sequence.
