Abstract

With calibration complete, monochromatic light frames could now be aligned. For best results however, an extra step remains. Each image processing program calls it something different: bad pixel map, defect map, etc. PixInsight calls it cosmetic correction, and is able to repair the majority of these defects with a single process.
