Part of the book series: Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing ((AISC,volume 843))

Abstract

Cloud Computing (CC) is established as an important and widely used technology in enabling users to access to a shared pool of online resources. While alongside, the Internet of Things (IoT) has emerged as a new technology to enable multiple network-based objects to communicate with each other over wired or wireless networks. In this paper, the reference architectures and definitions of these two technologies are reviewed together with their security concerns, and their proposed solutions. Firstly, the most common references for CC and IoT are reviewed in this paper. Secondly, the most recent research trends for both technologies are presented. Finally, future research directions of the CC and IoT are suggested.
