Zusammenfassung
Autonome, intelligente Agenten scheinen ein vielversprechender Ansatz zur Modellierung kommunikativer Systeme in unterschiedlichsten Zusammenhängen zu sein. Dies gilt in den Wirtschaftswissenschaften insbesondere für den elektronischen Geschäftsverkehr (eBusiness) und das computerunterstützte Management von Unternehmenskooperationen. Bei der Unterstützung von Management und Integration von Planungs-, Dispositions- und Steuerungsprozessen können autonome, intelligente Agenten als Unternehmensrepräsentanten behandelt werden (Knirsch & Timm 1999). Dieses fuhrt aber zu neuen Problemen: Gängige Agentenarchitekturen sind primär nicht entwickelt worden, um komplexe Entscheidungs- und Verhandlungsprozesse zwischen autonomen Entscheidungsträgern nachzubilden oder zu unterstützen. Solche Kommunikationen müssen schnell, effektiv und effizient ablaufen. Die einfache Anwendung von standardisierten Kommunikationsabläufen löst diese Aufgabe häufig nur unzureichend. Besonders schwierig gestaltet sich die Aufgabe, wenn die Agenten in wechselnden Umgebungen sich unterschiedlichen Verhaltensweisen der Partner in der Kommunikation anpassen müssen (,,Weltenbummler“-Problem). Deshalb ist es wichtig, neben der Entwicklung von Standards auch ein adaptives Kommunikationsverhalten zu realisieren, das es den Agenten erlaubt, auf Grundlage von Erfahrungen die Protokolle und das Verhandlungsverhalten dynamisch anzupassen (Carron et al. 1999).
