Psychotherapie in der Psychiatrie

Zusammenfassung

Im Begriff der Persönlichkeitsstörungen (PS) findet sich ein Problem wieder, das teilweise für den schwierigen Umgang mit diesen Diagnosen verantwortlich ist: Im Unterschied etwa zu Depressionen oder Psychosen, die der sonstigen Krankheitslehre der Medizin entsprechen, wird hier postuliert, dass die „Krankheit“ in der Persönlichkeit selbst liege bzw. sogar die Persönlichkeit selbst die Krankheitsursache sein soll. Dabei ist natürlich klar, dass nie die ganze Persönlichkeit gestört sein kann, sondern mehr oder weniger bedeutsame Aspekte. Es entsteht ein Defi nitionsproblem. Klarer wäre es somit, von „Störungen im Bereich der Persönlichkeit“ zu sprechen (▸ Ücbersicht: Definition von Persönlichkeit).
