Auszug
Anlass für eine Untersuchung des Kalzium- und Phosphatstoffwechsels bei Kindern sind in der Regel auffällige klinische und/oder radiologische Symptome oder aber auch isolierte oder kombinierte Normabweichungen von Kalzium, Phosphat und alkalischer Phosphatase im Serum. Diese Metabolite unterliegen meist strengen Regelkreisen unter Einbeziehung der Vitamin-D-Hormone und des Parathormons. Daher sollen im Folgenden zunächst die Grundlagen des Kalzium- und Posphatstoffwechsels erläutert werden, bevor auf spezifische angeborene und erworbene Störungen eingegangen wird.
