Zusammenfassung

Die Aorta abdominalis erstreckt sich vom Hiatus aorticus (etwa in Höhe des Zwischenwirbelraumes BWK 12/LWK 1 bis zur Aortenbifurkation (etwa in Höhe des Zwischenwirbelraums LWK 4/5), wo sie sich in die beiden Aa. iliacae communes teilt. Sie verläuft ventral und gering links der Mittellinie.
