Abstract

This introduction gives some background to circuit simulation in general and provides a short overview of the 15 papers that follow. Before proceeding further, it is pointed out that Section 1 of the first paper, the invited paper by Dautbegovic, gives a nice two-page introduction to circuit simulation. Thus, the reader may first want to read that section before returning to the text at hand, which completes the introduction to circuit simulation.
