Zusammenfassung

Neurologisch-neurochirurgische Frührehabilitation (Phase B) vereint Akut- und Rehabilitationsmedizin zur Behandlung neurologisch Schwerstbetroffener, z.B. mit Wachkoma (apallischem Syndrom). Sie beginnt nach der Stabilisierung der Vitalfunktionen so früh wie möglich in spezialisierten Behandlungseinrichtungen. Das Ziel besteht darin, bei den Ausfällen des Nervensystems erste Funktionen wiederzuerwecken und die Kranken zur späteren weiterführenden Anschlussrehabilitation zu befähigen. Dazu stimmen Ärzte und ihr multiprofessionelles Team eigens entwickelte Vorgehensweisen aus der breiten Spannweite von Intensivmedizin bis zu hochspeziellen Rehabilitationsmethoden aufeinander ab.
