Abstract
In the last decade, many articles and techniques have been described to lift the face, and many ideas have evolved to tighten the sagging elements of the face. This ranges from skin lifting to very complex composite and subperiosteal lifting, and as a result many techniques have been popularized in recent years. The idea of all these procedures is to tighten, suspend, anchor, and remove redundant lax tissue which is done through a surgical approach, through a preauricular incision, postauricular, or through the brow. The author describes the technique he personally uses that consists of a subcutaneous and a modified SMAS technique plus liposuction of neck, threading, fat transfer, and platysmal placation and/or excision.
