The Current Situation and Problems about Higher Education in Hebei Province

Abstract

During the rapid development, the higher education in Hebei province has not only achieved the expansion of scale, but also made some progress in high quality. For example, it has formed a large and complete scale, multiple levels and types, and distributes in every city in Hebei province, and furthermore, it is playing an important role for local place, for instance, training talents endlessly for local society, doing some significant research for the enterprises and governments, and turning them into the real benefits. However, a series of problems still result from the excessive expansion, such as the lack of higher quality development, repeated professional and disciplines, the shortage of developmental funding, and low abilities to service society, and so on, which mostly affects the efficiency of higher education.
