Abstract

This chapter studies the problem of non-fragile \(H_\infty \) filter design for Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy systems. The filters to be designed are assumed to have additive gain variations. Based on the linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique, sufficient conditions for designing the \(H_\infty \) filters are obtained for the continuous-time and discrete-time T–S fuzzy systems, respectively. It is shown that the filter gains are given from a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) feasible solutions. A numerical example is provided to show the efficiency of the proposed design methods.
