Abstract

Recently, Lee et al. proposed an new strong designated verifier signature scheme. They claimed that their scheme can prevent any third party from being convinced that who is actually the signer of the signature. However, we found out that when one can ensure the validity of the signature, their scheme would reveal the identity of the signer. In this paper, we provide a new strong designated verifier signature scheme that provides signer ambiguity, even if both the secret key of the signer and the verifier are compromised. We also analyze the proposed scheme.
