Psychiatrische Notfallsituationen kommen als krisenhafte Zuspitzungen im Rahmen psychiatrischer Grundkrankheiten und bei Gesunden (z. B. Agitiertheit, Stupor bei akuter Belastungsreaktion oder Suizidalität bei Anpassungsstörungen) vor. Die medikamentöse Behandlung erfolgt syndromgerichtet.
