Abstract

Cloud computing is growing and its implications for accounting and auditing are unlimited. As familiarity among risk averse and technology-challenged accountants morphs into a mature understanding of the benefits of the cloud, use of the cloud by accountants will be as ubiquitous as use of the computer itself. This paper addresses areas of training accounting students need to understand so they will be prepared for use of the cloud by their employers, and so they can help their employers move ahead with the cloud in a controlled, safe manner.
