Abstract

Visual secret sharing (VSS) is a kind of security communication technique. The drawback of the existing (k, n) VSS schemes is the visual quality of the reconstructed secret image decreases exponentially by increasing n. To enhance the visual quality of the revealed secret image, a novel (k, n) threshold visual secret sharing scheme based on random grids is proposed. The experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed scheme, and the comparison with previous scheme shows that the result of the proposed scheme is much better.
