Abstract
Railway RAMS is a major contributor to the quality of service provided of the Infrastructure Manager.
A system can be defined as an “assembly of sub-systems and component connected together in an organised way, to achieve specified functionality”. Functionality is assigned to sub-systems and components within a system. The behaviour and state of the system is changed if the sub-system or component functionality changes. A system responds to inputs to produce specified outputs, whilst interacting with an environment.
