Intra-Arterial Adenosine Deaminase: a Tool for Assessing Physiologic Functions of Adenosine

  • Conference paper
Topics and Perspectives in Adenosine Research

Summary

Intracoronary infusions of adenosine deaminase have been used to test the hypothesis that adenosine regulates coronary blood flow. This paper critically reviews the technique of intra-arterial adenosine deaminase infusions and describes other examples of the use of this enzyme to assess the participation of adenosine in cardiovascular regulation.
