Zusammenfassung

Die meisten europäischen Länder haben einen Anteil von alten Menschen an der Gesamtbevölkerung zwischen 10% und 16%, darunter Frankreich und die Bundesrepublik 13% bzw. 15%. Die USA liegen mit 10% an der unteren Grenze dieses Anteils, haben jedoch von den nichteuropäischen Ländern den höchsten Altenanteil zu verzeichnen.
