Abstract

The mouldability of a thermoplastic material can be measured with the spiral flow test. Theoretical results will be compared with experiments. Effects such as compressibility and temperature rise due to compression and dissipation will be taken into account. A survey on the dependence of the flow length on several relevant material and process parameters is given.
