Zur Kenntnis der Butyrylcholin-Esterase im Serum von Mensch und Pferd

Zusammenfassung

Pferdeserum ist in der Forschung eine viel gebrauchte Quelle für die Esterase, die als Pseudo-Cholinesterase bekannt wurde (Mendel und Rudney 18), die inzwischen viele Namen hatte (Glick 10) und die jetzt am besten Butyrylcholin-Esterase (BChE) genannt wird (Sturge und Whittaker 21). Das Pferdeserum scheint frei zu sein von „echter“ oder Acetylcholin-Esterase (AChE) und ist leicht in großen Mengen erhältlich. Daher ist es nützlich, die Unterschiede zwischen den Butyrylcholin-Esterasen bei Mensch (M-BChE) und Pferd (P-BChE) zu kennen.
