Derzeit befinden sich 162 herztransplantierte Patienten in der postoperativen Betreuung im Herzzentrum Nordrhein-Westfalen. Hauptprobleme in der postoperativen Phase stellen neben akuten Abstoßungsreaktionen besonders Infektionen dar.
