Abstract
Pseudofolliculitis barbae is an inflammatory skin condition which presents as follicular papules on hair-bearing portions of the body as a result of shaving. Pseudofolliculitis barbae primarily affects postpubertal males of African descent. Management of the condition includes lifestyle modification, medical treatments, and laser hair removal. This chapter will review the pathomechanisms, clinical presentations, and treatment of pseudofolliculitis barbae.
