Zusammenfassung

Die heutige Knieendoprothetik hat sich zunächst aus den achsgekoppelten monoaxialen Scharnierprothesen der 1950er-Jahre (Walldius, Shiers) [23] und später den ungekoppelten mono axialen Prothesen (Geomedic, Polycentric) [3, 13] entwickelt. Der klinische Einsatz dieser Prothesen war jedoch aufgrund der Lockerungs- und Abriebproblematik stark eingeschränkt.
