Natural Language-based Specification and Fuzzy Logic for the Multimedia Development Process

Abstract

Developing large multimedia systems shows problems similar to those of constructing software systems. But specific for multimedia systems is that non-technical people are much more involved in the development process. This leads to a strong demand for communication between developers with very different backgrounds. In the literature, this problem is usually neglected. We present a new approach Vitruu dealing with this communication problem. A specification language based on natural language and founded with formal models is our proposed communication platform for participants of the development process.
