Die Pulmonalklappenstenose ist eine in den meis-ten Fällen angeborene Herzklappenerkrankung, welche selten isoliert und meistens in Kombination mit anderen angeborenen Herzfehlern auftritt. Die Häufigkeit der isolierten Form liegt bei 7–9% aller angeborenen Herzfehler.
