Zusammenfassung
Die Diagnostik von Haarkrankheiten kann medizinhistorisch bis auf den altägyptischen „Kopfhautsperzialisten“ zurückverfolgt werden, der zu den ältesten medizinischen Disziplinen gehört. Altägyptische Ärzte untersuchten die Kopfhaut und ihre Erkrankungen und verfügten über eine reichhaltige „Dreckapotheke“ externer Anwendungen, die allerdings der Kosmetik und Magie näher standen als der Medizin. Hippokrates läuterte die Medizin vom Magisch-Religiösen und orientierte sich an der Krankenbeobachtung.
