Zusammenfassung

N ierengefäßerkrankungen zeigen sich gewöhnlich durch ein-oder beidseitige Einengungen oder Verschlüsse der A. renalis oder ihrer Hauptäste. Nierenarterienstenosen führen durch Stimulation des Renin-Angiotensin-AldosteronSystems zur Entstehung eines Bluthochdrucks, der renovaskulären Hypertonie. Diese Form der sekundären Hypertonie macht etwa 1% aller Hochdruckformen in unselektionierten Patientenpopulationen aus und bis zu 40% in Populationen, die speziellen Hochdruckkliniken zugewiesen werden. Die Folge der Hypertonie ist eine Schädigung verschiedener Organe [9, 36, 44].
