Zusammenfassung

Turbulente Märkte bieten Unternehmen attraktive Wachstumspotentiale. Empirische Analysen zeigen, daß das Wachstumspotential eines Unternehmens mit Abstand die wichtigste Determinante des Marktwertes von Unternehmen in turbulenten Märkten ist. In weniger turbulenten Märkten kommt demgegenüber der Eigenkapitalausstattung und Rentabilität im Ist-Geschäft eine ebenso wichtige Rolle zu. Die Unternehmenssicherung in turbulenten Märkten stellt gleichzeitig hohe Anforderungen an die strategische Flexibilität. Diese findet in der Durchßhrung von Strategiewechseln ihren Niederschlag. Vor allem Investoren am Kapitalmarkt orientieren sich bei ihren Anlageentscheidungen an Strategiewechseln. Vor diesem Hintergrund wird im vorliegenden Beitrag ein theoretischer Bezugsrahmen zur Untersuchung der Relevanz von Strategiewechseln für den Marktwert von Unternehmen entwickelt
