Abstract

This text presents a robotic proposal. I have been in contact with a lot of experiences carried out in Barcelona concerning this field. We chose one of them to be followed in detail: the Pompeu Fabra school. The 7th level has been observed since we thought this was the best level to work with robotics.

The proposal is to set up an automatic classroom. For this we need one computer in the classroom linked to a BSP board which would be connected to several motors and sensors. All this equipment would be controlled by some LOGO procedures elaborated by students with the help of the teachers. Many tasks have to be carried out initially and a lot of very different disciplines are involved in this robotics work.

In fact, having a computer available in the classroom for anybody at any time could help to ensure that technology in school would not be only an isolated experience but be a new and powerful tool in the curriculum that could even favor a new philosophy of education or a pedagogic change.
