Corpora aliena sind versehentlich oder absichtlich verschluckte, selten peranal eingeführte nahrungsfremde Gegenstände (Münzen, Spielzeug, Nägel, Rasierklingen, Ringe, Uhren, Batterien, Nadeln, Holzspieße, Eßbestecke, Kugeischreiberminen, Prothesenteile etc.), Bestandteile der Nahrung (Knochen, Gräten, Fleischbolus etc.), Komplikationen einer Therapie (abgerissene Sonden, nicht resorbierbares Nahtmaterial, dislozierte Endoprothesen, eingeklemmte Medikamente etc.) oder transmural in den Magen-DarmTrakt penetrierte Fremdkörper (Geschosse, Gallengangsdrainagen, Gallensteine etc.) (Abb. 1).
