Abstract
As the importance of batch processing increases in the Chemical Process Industry, plants are becoming more specialized, equipment is standardized, computer aided process operations methods are being improved and more widely used by manufacturers.

Twelve years later, Rhône-Poulenc has become an important producer of small volume products and has acquired certain skills in this domain.
