Abstract

In the early days of experimental liver transplantation, the cellular immunity of liver recipients was not carefully investigated has remained unclear. This paper describes investigations into the cellular alloreactivity of PVG [major histocompatibility complex (MHC) haplotype RT1c] rats bearing DA (RT1a) liver grafts. In this combination, DA liver grafts are not rejected even though no immunosuppression is used (Kamada et al. 198l).
