Summary

The production of software for mini-computers is discussed. A real-time operating system and user software are to be developed for a hierarchy of mini-computers configured to avoid data loss. The use of the multilevel language POLYP1) and the facilities of a large computer are shown. The goal is to provide accurate schedules for software completion and maintainability once the system has gone on-line.
