Zusammenfassung

Die Chemotherapie maligner Tumoren ist wegen der unspezifischen Natur der heutigen Zytostatika nur in einem relativ schmalen Dosisbereich aussichtsreich. Einerseits sollten wegen der Dosisabhängigkeit der Tumorhemmwirkung möglichst hohe Dosen verwendet werden, andererseits sind dem durch die sogenannten Nebenwirkungen Grenzen gesetzt. Die wichtigste dosislimitierende Nebenwirkung betrifft das blutbildende Gewebe, im besonderen die Leukopoese.
