Zusammenfassung
In diesem Abschnitt werden Geschwülste, welche vom Larynx, Hypopharynx, Epipharynx, Oropharynx, äußeren und mittleren Ohr ihren Ausgang nehmen, behandelt. Wegen der teilweise gemeinsamen embryonalen Entwicklung sowie der Ähnlichkeit ihres pathologischen Verhaltens und ihrer strahlentherapeutischen Behandlung werden Tumoren des Mesopharynx, der Tonsillen, der lingualen Seite der Valleculae, des Zungengrundes, der Gaumensegel, des weichen Gaumens und der Uvula zum Oropharynx gezählt.
