Zusammenfassung

Pharmakologische Wirkungen auf den Oesophagus betreffen die Effekte von chemischen Substanzen auf die quergestreifte und glatte Muskulatur des Oesophagus und seiner Sphincteren. Im folgenden Kapitel werden in erster Linie die manometrisch erfaßbaren Wirkungen von Pharmaka referiert. Weiter können elektromyographische Untersuchungen, Oberflächenpotentialmessungen und Versuche an isolierten Muskelstreifen zum besseren Verständnis pharmakologischer Wirkungen beitragen. Schwer quantifizierbare Verfahren, wie z. B. Röntgenuntersuchungen, Endoskopie etc., die klinisch unentbehrlich geworden sind, haben demgegenüber für pharmakologische Untersuchungen keine Bedeutung.
