Zusammenfassung

Mit der Entdeckung der klinischen Verwendungsmöglichkeiten von Kokain durch CARL KOLLER 1884 begann die systematische Erforschung der Chemie von lokalanästhetisch wirksamen Substanzen. Nachdem die chemische Struktur des Kokains durch WILLSTÄTTER aufgeklärt worden war, setzte auch das Bemühen ein, synthetische Stoffe für die lokalanasthetische Verwendung zu finden.
