Zusammenfassung

Die Heterogenität der Patienten mit bakterieller Harnwegsinfektion macht eine risikoorientierte Klassifikation als Voraussetzung einer individuellen Planung und Durchführung der antibiotischen Therapie und Prophylaxe erforderlich (s.S. 41 ff.). Ein gleichbleibendes Betreuungsschema für alle Patienten würde bei denjenigen mit ohnehin guter Prognose leicht eine Überbehandlung, bei denjenigen mit schlechterer Prognose eine unzureichende Therapie zur Folge haben.
