Zusammenfassung

Die Haarzell-Leukämie (HZL) ist eine chronische, meistens über Jahre sieh hinziehende, maligne neoplastische Erkrankung des hämatopoetischen Systems. Sie macht ca. 2% aller Leukämien aus und ist daher als selten zu bezeichnen (Bouroncle et al. 1958). Die HZL befällt ausschließlich Erwachsene, wobei das Verhältnis Männer/Frauen ca. 4:1 beträgt (Burke et al. 1974; Flandrin et al. 1973; Golomb et al. 1978).
