Abstract
In November 1974 I presented to Professor Albach’s Management Science Seminar at Bonn University a paper on a research program, which I had initiated at the Stockholm School of Economics. At that time the research had the character of “work in process”. My paper dealt mainly with our analytical tools and methods of measurement. I now fulfill a promise to report some of the empirical results, although the report cannot be very complete.
