Zusammenfassung

Anfang der 70er Jahre hoffte man noch, daß sich gerade das Mammakarzinom als Modell für Studien der Tumorimmunität eignen würde (Nathanson 1977). Von diesem Optimismus ist nicht viel übrig geblieben. Zwar waren die gelegentlich zu beobachtende lymphoide Infiltration und Aggregation von Plasmazellen im Tumorrandbereich schon lange bekannt, aber darin das histopathologische Äquivalent einer Immunreaktion vom verzögerten Typ zu sehen, hat sich nicht allgemein durchgesetzt. Immerhin geht die Infiltration mit Lymphozyten und Plasmazellen, wie sie beim medullären Karzinom beobachtet wird, mit einer relativ günstigen Prognose einher.
