Zusammenfassung

Unter „Streßulcus“ verstehen viele Kliniker und Pathologen akute, unter verschiedensten Arten von Streß auftretende Läsionen im oberen Magendarmtrakt [14]. Obwohl der Begriff schon lange in Gebrauch ist, beinhaltet er kein einheitliches Krankheitsgeschehen. Entsprechend läßt sich in der Literatur keine Originaldefinition finden. So ist es auch verständlich, daß jeder unter dem Begriff „Streßulcus“ etwas anderes versteht und sich die Beschreibungen nur schlecht decken.
