Zusammenfassung

Divertikel des Duodenums sind angeborene oder erworbene Ausstülpungen beziehungsweise Einstülpungen der Duodenalmukosa, selten auch der gesamten Duodenalwand im Bereich strukturbedingter Wandschwächen des Duodenums. Die Häufigkeit des Vorkommens in der Gesamtbevölkerung ist nicht bekannt. Die Häufigkeit von Divertikeln wird nach röntgenologischen Bewertungskriterien mit 1–6% angegeben (Chitambar u. Springs 1953; Jones U. Merendino 1960; Tandon etal. 1973).
