Abstract

The measurement of local oxygen partial pressure (PO2) on the surface of the brain by means of a polarographic multiwire surface electrode after LÜBBERS and KESSLER enables us to obtain information about the conditions of local O2-supply directly on the brain cortex (2, 3, 6, 9, 10).
