Zusammenfassung
Der Begriff „Myelopathic“ ist ganz unspezifisch und besagt eigentlich nichts anderes, als daß mit dem Rückenmark irgendetwas nicht in Ordnung ist. Meist wird dem Begriff Myelopathic aber noch ein Adjektiv vorangestellt, welches in der Regel einen ätiologischen Hinweis gibt. So spricht man z.B. von der paraneoplastischen, vaskulären, oder metabolischen Myelopathic. Nur wenig allerdings wird der Begriff Myelopathic eingeengt, wenn man ihm eine topische Bezeichnung voranstellt, wie „zervikal“ oder „thorakal“ und entsprechend von der „zervikalen“ oder „thorakalen“ Myelopathic spricht.
